These marches matter. They show Washington how many voters they should be concerned with in November. There are voter registration rallies during these marches. Coalitions are being built to mobilize GOTV for mid-terms. The media coverage magnifies the range of the movement and kids messages are carried on the airwaves, dramatically increasing their reach. There are MILLIONS of High school-aged kids who will be eligible to vote in the Fall. This march gives them a single issue to rally around. Seeds are being planted today. The flowers come in the Fall. You might as well claim that the March on Washington didn't do anything. Except that the Civil RIghts Act was signed months later. Media and images have power.
